I used the bacon bits on the outside and it was great.

I used this as a halloween dish - shaping it as a pumpkin and rolling it in shredded carrots instead of nuts to give it an authentic look. Everyone loved it!

I made this as is and we all liked it. Next time I added 4 oz of shredded ham (deli lunch meat) to it and rolled it in parsley flakes. Even better!!!!

I usually make a different version of this recipe with Bacon instead of nuts but decided to try something new this time. It wasn't nearly as good as the Bacon version. Search for the "Ritz Cheesy Football" recipe and use the Ritz Roasted Vegetable crackers...YUMMY!

This is the best cheeseball I've ever had -- football shaped or not! Even people who don't like cheeseballs like this!

Forgot to mention, that yes I did roll this in chopped pecans, also doing so on the bottom of the football, so that the delicious flavor of pecans were in every bite! Michele McM
