I am a big bread lover and this was delicious, I substituted parmesan cheese for the mozzarella. The whole family thought it was great! Will make again :)

My aunt has made this bread for several family gatherings and it is so good!! We have actually fought over it and there is never any left. One thing is that you have to eat it quicky before the cheese cools off to much or it just coagulates. Not very good but a few seconds in the microwave and then dig in. My aunt has also done the bread without the onion for those who do not like it and it still tastes pretty good but I like the one with the onion the best. I'm making myself hungry for it right now!! :-P

i had to improvise because i didnt have a fresh loaf of italian bread like the recipe called for. i just had plain white bread. when i took it out of the oven the bread was all smooshed together and it would fall apart when i tried to take a slice off. i understand that this was my fault though. even though it didn't turn out properly, due to my mistakes, it still had a great flavor. i will definitely make this again, the right way! lol! it goes perfect with the spaghetti and meatball dinner i made.

I tried this tonight and it was great!!! It was a great choice b/c my mom is picky and me being pregnant I can taste everything. It hit the spot with the pasta entree I fixed. Not to forget the butter/cheese sauce was very easy to spread on. Tip: sometimes when you don't have a loaf of bread you can just use what you have around the house like potato bread or rolls and do the same thing and it turns out great....( take it from one who has tried it and it was delicious!!!)

Although rather than useing a loaf I used dinner rolls and cut two slices into them, as I was only serving dinner for three. Very good mix to spread.

This was simple to make and my entire family loved it!(which rarely happens)Anything that pleases 5 children ,all ages,must be good.

I have made this for my family and friends and they love it. When ever we have a get together they always volunteer me to make that. It is the only kind of garlic bread we have with our pasta now. Thanks for the great recipe!
