This recipe was good but some of my family did not like it. Next time I think I will use a different spice of some kind. Besides that it was a very good dish.
This is a wonderful and easy item to make that everyone will love. I have always added tomatoes to my mac and cheese and the basil gives it an even better flavor.
made for dinner--tasted great --willtry with hamburger next timewith alittle bit more basil. this is a keeper
This was very good. Its easy and a nice break from plain old mac and cheese. I have four children who ate every bite! I made it as the main course, but it would make a great side dish too!
i used dried basil. i used a can of diced tomato instead of 1 cup of the water and cooked this in the microwave in 8 minutes. topped it with a sprinkle of parm cheese, yummy. it is very similar to mom's.
This just shot me back to childhood - my grandmother would have a huge pot of this on the stove, with the addition of ground beef, every time we went to visit. It's nothing spectacular, but boy is it ever yummy comfort food. It's 90 degrees out today, and this is what I want for lunch.
i made this on the weekend as a surrprise when i visited my grandmother. when ever i go there so always wants to eat right away, she is 92 so you see it is my turn, she makes it hard to get ahead of her though. she loved it, we are big on tomatoes in family, my only suggestion is to add just a little seasoned pepper to it right before serving.
This was really easy to make, but it was very bland and not very good reheated-People at the party were kind of leary of the basil strips-If you are looking for a knock-your-socks off pasta dish, you might try something else.
I really enjoyed this recipe. It was very easy to make. I added more tomato, fresh basil, and onion powder towards my preference.
I add Turkey Sausage and Green Beans and my Daughter Loved it!
