this recipe (quadrupled) was a huge hit at a Labor Day BBQ. I altered it by using penne pasta, and by adding half a red onion (grated) and liberal cracked black pepper. was thanked repeatedly by several vegetarians for bringing it. daughter urges me to make it again just for us soon.

the macaroni&cheese recipe was very bland&way to stiff&dry I had to add 1 cup of milk,4oz.of sour cream to soften&liquidfy. I also added parmesan cheese to add taste.I'll make all my mac.&cheese with cheddar from now on, Velvetta just doesn't cut it.

Fantastically easy Mac & Cheese. For those who think it too bland, add a little mustard powder to the cheese sauce and/or replace the Ritz crackers with Chicken In A Biscuit.

This is so easy to make and so good. I do agree that it can be pretty bland if you don't add any seasonings. I like to use salt ,coarse black pepper and minced onion. I love the buttery taste that the Ritz crackers add to it. This one of our favorite comfort food recipes.

I did not add the Ritz crackers, but I added lot of cheddar cheese on top of it before I baked it. it was very good.

I have made this recipe numerous times , and it is still is a favorite of mine. I add a bit of extra velveeta cheese , and I substituted the Ritz cracker topping with Italian bread crumbs mixed with parmesan cheese and a little butter, it makes it not so buttery. ... I highly recommend this to anyone who likes rich and creamy mac and cheese homemade.
