What You Need

1/4

cup butter or margarine, divided

1/4

cup flour

cup milk

1/2

lb. (8 oz.) VELVEETA®, cut into 1/2-inch cubes

cups elbow macaroni, cooked

1/2

cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese

RITZ Crackers, crushed (about 1/4 cup)

Make It

HEAT oven to 350°F.

MELT 3 Tbsp. butter in medium saucepan on medium heat. Whisk in flour; cook 2 min., stirring constantly. Gradually stir in milk. Bring to boil; cook and stir 3 to 5 min. or until thickened. Add VELVEETA; cook 3 min. or until melted, stirring frequently. Stir in macaroni.

SPOON into 2-qt. casserole sprayed with cooking spray; sprinkle with cheddar. Melt remaining butter; toss with cracker crumbs. Sprinkle over casserole.

BAKE 20 min. or until heated through.

This recipe was delicious! Easy enough for my 12 year old son to help make it. Warm and cheesy on a cool day. It will become a regular dish to make in our home.

I have one son who loves Velveeta mac and cheese..and another son who loves homemade mac and cheese. This was the perfect combination to make everyone happy! I did add bacon to the macaroni. This is our new "go to" macaroni and cheese recipe!

Hands down the BEST macaroni and cheese recipe ever. It was so easy to make and my boyfriend hates homemade mac n cheese and he agreed. This is the only recipe I will ever use from now on!

I thought this recipe was perfect and everyone came back for seconds. Just note that the cheese sauce gets really thick while melting the cheese (atleast mine did).
