Onions are at your own discretion. And do NOT use 2 percent or skim milk.

I substituted 1 celery bundle in place of the onion & ran it through my blender to puree it in order to thicken the soup. I also sometimes used a pkg of king crab legs instead of the lobster.

Lobster has got to be my all time favorite food. This recipe seems easy enough to make and a great way to enjoy lobster.

I used live lobster to start and with cooking and cracking added 30 minutes to prep time. Also reduced stock to 1/2 cup and used 1 C milk.

This is a excellent special occasion 1st course to serve to guests when in a hurry! The cream cheese makes it rich and creamy. It is very filling so a little goes a long way which makes it economical too.
