I had read another rating which suggested adding rum to the cake. I didn't have any rum so I used Amaretto and took it to a Memorial Day party. It went so fast, I had to make it again because my husband never got to try it at the party! The comment heard over and over was 'It's so light!'

Quick and easy, yet looks like you really spent time preparing it. This is REALLY a good one for the hot days of summer!

great dessert and looks very impressive and tastes great. very easy to make. I left out the blueberries, but I'm sure it would be great with them also. carol madden

I like the angel food cake instead of the pound cake for the trifle. Also the color theme is very original.

Using a teaspoon of vanilla in the pudding gives a richer flavor. I also added toasted almond slivers to the top for added texture and crunch.

I make this recipe regularly especially with left over cake and with pound cake. For adults eating this recipe I drizzle rum lightly over cake layer. This is a favorite for one of our adult family members so I make it for every special occasion.
