Garlic Smashed Potatoes recipe
Are smashed potatoes a little tastier than plain ol' mashed potatoes? They are when you add roasted garlic cream cheese spread!

Smooth, great taste, just added .5oz. of shredded american cheese.

This will be a staple in my recipe box. I used sour cream and chive rather than garlic simply because my grocery store was out of garlic and it was still great. Very similar to what you'd get at a restaurant and extremely easy to make at home.

I used fresh potatoes from the garden and served to my husband's family- they couldn't stop raving about them! And needless to say, no leftovers from a 8 quart pot!

This was good. My 3 yr. and 18 month old loved these! I think maybe I will add some shredded cheddar cheese. I used the whipped garlic and herb cream cheese.

I mixed Chive and Onion Cream Cheese with instant mashed potatoes since I was in a hurry, and they turned out very good. Was great served with Parmesan Meat Loaf.

Tasty!! We did the Chive & Onion and it was very good. I didn't see the need to use the whole tub though, about 3/4, or a little more, was good enough to add the taste but cut some calories. We will definitely make this again another time!

The one thing I really didn't like about this recipe is I couldn't for the life of me find the Philly Roasted Garlic cream cheese they're talking about. I had to use Garlic Herb instead. It was ok--I'll always wonder if they would be better with the Roasted Garlic. These didn't heat up very nice for leftovers--the texture and taste were very funny.

i could not find the cream cheese either so i just added some sour cream, and garlic salt which was equally delicious. these are like the potatoes at the Red Bar restarant in Seaside, Fl.
