I made this recipe for "Italian Night" with friends. It was my first time and it was a hit. I didn't have fresh basil so I just put in Italian Seasoning and everyone loved it. I recommend that you don't make this ahead of the time it gets very soggy.

I loved this recipe, I have made it several times. The only thing I change is that I add lemon juice, maybe 2 tablespoons. It makes all the difference, I really recommend it for entertaining.

I like it and the kids did too. It wasn't a wow, but good anyway. I used Rye bread instead of the french and cut each slice in two, also I broiled it in the toaster over. Was pretty quick and easy.
