One word, YUM! I don't even like bananas or anything with bananas in it, the texture kind of puts me off, but this dessert was delicious! And easy as heck to make, as well as quick. From start to finish it must have taken me 10 minutes, and that's including the 5 minutes you have to let the pudding set. I used french vanilla pudding cuz that's all I had in my pantry, and it tasted fantastic.
it was a hit and was so simple was wiped out rather quickly made it sugar-free jello and nonfat milk and no one even knew it was low cal too! Will most certainly make bigger batch next time and has already been requested to next family gathering
This recipe is wonderful! I make mine in a rectangle casserole dish or tupperware. I like to make extra layers so I use an entire box of Nilla Wafers and 5 bananas. Any remaining cookies I crush and sprinkle on top. I refrigerate mine for at least 8 hours before eating so the wafers soften. (I have to keep my husband away from the kitchen in the mean time).
I've made this and LOVED it!! I did make a few changes though. I added carmel to it. I layered it like this: Vanilla Wafers Banana pudding Bananas Cool Whip Drizzle carmel Vanilla Wafers and continue the layers. I did 4 layers, ending with Coll Whip. Everyone LOVED it!!
kids took one bite and that was it....didnt please r tasted buds
We made a couple of changes to this recipe and it is really great. Everyone we've served it to loves it and wants the recipe. We use no-sugar pudding and sugar free vanilla wafers. We also add a teaspoon and a half of vanilla extract. This low sugar pudding couldn't be better.

Reminds me of my grandma's, but much easier! Very good.

My mom use to make this all the time, but instead of using cool whip she would make a marguine with egg white's
