My mother used to make this cake for our family when we were growing up in the 1970's. I was extremely pleased to find this recipe. My mother lost her original copy not to long ago. Thank you for having it on your web site. It is an oldie but a goodie.

This recipe tastes like a white cake. You can hardly taste the pastacchio.

This was delicious and I would make it again. For the frosting I mixed 1 pack of instant pistacchio pudding with 1 container of cool whip and frosted the cake. It was sweet but oh so good.

Sort of dry.

I've made this cake several times. The recipe is super simple and the end result tastes great! It's not too sweet and it definitely offers a new spin on what would otherwise turn out to be a boring ol' plain yellow cake.

It was easy and loved the color! I skipped the food color still it came out perfectly green! Recipes using a cake mix are usually too sweet for me and this is one of them. I wish there were less sweet cake mix for people like me. Maybe I should make my own cake mix next time.

Very good cake, great alternative. Kids loved it because it was green! Watch out on the almond extract- I put too much in and you could taste it.

This was a very moist cake, but it didn't bowl anyone over in the taste department. I would take it to a pot-luck sometime, but I wouldn't make it for a special occasion.
