I made this cake with a glaze on it instead of the powdered sugar flavored with butter & nut flavoring which gave it a great flavor.

I have baked this cake twice and it was a hit every time. Instead of powdered sugar, my husband wanted frosting. So I made cream cheese frosting with powdered sugar and almond extract and it was delicious with the cake.

I also made it for a work party on St. Patrick's Day. It was a big hit!

I made it for St. Patrick's Day and put green icing on the top. It was so moist and one of the best cakes we have ever tasted. I will make it again! It goes really good with vanilla ice cream.

This recipe gets a big thumbs-up with my family. I made it for a St. Patrick's Day celebration using powdered sugar for the topping. This cake is very moist and delightful.

This recipe has been in my family for 2 generations,however,to add to the great taste,I suggest 1 pkg pistachio jello and 1 pkg of dream whip as a topping.Delicious!

great recipe. For frosting I used the whipped cream version..1 pint whip cream, 1 box pistachio pudding and a TBS of powdered sugar. yum

I LOVE this recipe, especially at Christmas. I use with Duncan Hine cake mix for an even moister cake. I have a baking pan shaped like a Christmas tree, top with powdered sugar and colored sprinkles. Sometimes I use a bundt cakepan and decorate the cake like a wreath... drawing little leaves with colored gel frosting/cinnamons. I have been searching for this recipe for years since I lost it in a move and am glad I have found it again!! Can also add some crushed up pistachios to the mix for variety. :)
