I substituted the bacon for cubed chicken breast and my family loved it. By doing this, I cut out a lot of fat.

My family LOVES this recipe. The Mircale Whip gives this soup a unique tangy flavor. Its a nice change from the plain potato chowder.

I have been making this chowder since 1996 and I love it! It is the perfect combination for cold winter days/nights. I boil the mixture at the end for approximately eight to ten minutes, and the chowder turns out very thick.

My husband had requested Chili for evening meal and I made the chowder for my self, and he said he would try it. Needless to say the chili was left untouched and we enjoyed the chowder. I plan on serving it for my Christmas eve guest.

My husband, daughter and I loved this chowder! I didn't have bacon so I tried it with 'REAL Bacon bits' and it was very good. We also topped it with cheddar cheese! Excellent!

Very easy and tasty. I subsituted canned evaporated milk and it gave it a little different taste and thickness.
