This is a great dessert, everyone I know loves it. Try using chopped pecans in the crust. They add a different flavor that is great!
Tastes great and very easy to make! I don't like almonds so I made it with a pretzel crust instead (the one on the pretzel/strawberry recipe). Everyone is asking for the recipe!
Excellent dessert. I found that by using lemon pudding and adding lemon Crystal Light drink mix to the pudding makes a very refreshing dessert. Quick and easy to make.
I had my special education students make this during their cooking time at school. They loved taking turns adding ingredients, mixing, and spreading the layers. We all loved eating it! We tried lemon flavored pudding... when I make at home for the family, I'm going to experiment with some other flavors. Yummy recipe and super easy!
Big hit at family reunion! Found spreading 1st layer a bit messy as the crust did crumble, so I put the mixed ingredients in a gallon-size freezer baggie, cut one corner off & squeezed the mixture onto the crust. Dipping my spatula in cold water before spreading the mixture made the whole process much easier. Will make again ~ trying different pudding flavors.
I made this because my husband and I are on a diet. The kids asked for more!
This is a family favorite, we have it almost every time we get together!
I have another version of this recipe that is very similar. It's almost the same except for the crust. I like my crust much better. Once it has been cooked and cooled it is very easy to spread on the next layer. The recipe for my crust is... 1 cup flour, ¼ cup ground nuts (I like to use walnuts but any kind works great)and ½ cup margarine or butter softened (not melted). Mix these three ingredients together until they form kind of a doughy ball. Push into a greased 9x13 and bake at 350 for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Then let cool. Proceed with the recipe as usual after this point.
Absolutely loved it! I used lemon pudding instead of chocolate. Very lite and tastey.
Made this one with pistacio pudding and it came out so pretty! Super easy to make and everyone enjoyed it.
