Very good. Quick and easy. I used light cream, since I didn't have half & half and then added a tablespoon of cornstarch to thicken it up a bit. I would make prepare this recipe again. Bet it tastes good cold also used in a salad of greens only.
I added 4 TBS of Almonretto to it...yum!!I had this recipe for years. A restraunt in Anaheim Ca. makes it.
I made mine with Cubes of chicken. After adding the sauce mix to the pasta and chicken I thouth it was a little watery so I put mine in the oven for about 15 min on 300 degrees. My Husband and mother enjoyed this recipe. I will definitly make it again....I served my meal with salad an bread.....
The walnuts have to be roasted in the oven which was omitted from this recipe. The dish is very heavy. If you are a little eater you would probably find this too filling. The garlic is great, no vampires tonight!!
I used a tiny bit of fresh garlic and about 7 good-sized roasted garlic cloves. It was delicious! I made sure the fresh garlic was completely smashed. To catts71355... - the recipe calls for half and half, not cream cheese. If you look again (in the body of the recipe), there's a comma between cream and cheese. Thought you might like to know. I think if you like garlic, you'll love this one!
Absolutely wonderful - especially for garlic lovers! I put aside a portion of the sauce for another meal and added it to plain boiled potatoes, whipped them together and my family was very impressed. This receipe is definitely a keeper.
I don't like pasta, so tried it with cooked rice: excellent!
I've made this several times as a great side dish. It's wonderful as a side dish with grilled chicken or as a min dish with chicken in it.
This recipe is excellant with baked garlic! 2 is fine....maybe more! Yum
Thought this looked like a great (and easy) recipe so I had to try it. Even being a garlic lover (my kids love garlic also), fresh garlic is very pungent for some palates so I used roasted garlic instead. It was terrific!! Loved it. Also very easy to modify by adding vegetables or leftovers like chicken.
