Really Really good. I didn't have cooked Bacon so I precooked the bacon I had. It was awesome. Everyone loved them. will Definitely make again and again!

I have never made water chestnuts before but I love them so I decided to try this recipe out with our New Years eve dinner celebration. My brother provided lobster and steak and I made Krafts Coconut Shrimp and Krafts Sesame Asain Dip for veggies and your Bacon wrapped Chestnuts. Our dinner was better than any 5 star resturant. Our 3 13 year olds loved everything as well.I have yet to make a Kraft recipe that we haven't enjoyed and I make one usually 4-5 times/week.People who do not use this site are missing out BIG TIME!

I cut the water chestnuts in half to go farther and they were still great

I have made this recipe for years. I call it Hawaiian Rumaki. Where you have chicken liver in the regular Rumaki recipe, I substitute pineapple chunks (I cut the big ones in half and cut the water chestnuts in half, too), wrap with the bacon and continue the recipe. They are always a hit with everyone. I have to be sure I have enough for at least 3 per person.

I used Miracle Whip Light, and didn't use all of the topping. My mom used to make these with raw bacon, then put them in the broiler. Baking is easier to do without burning. If you precook the bacon, don't make it crispy.

I love water chestnuts and had to try this for Christmas Eve with my in-laws. They were a hit. Next time I would use a light basting with the sauce. There was way too much for my taste, even though there was good flavor.

I use whole bottle of chili sauce, 1/2 cup mircle whip & cup of brown sugar - 16 oz uncooked bacon, 2 cans water chestnuts. you will need to cook about 90 minutes total to have bacon done. I empty bacon grease off about half way through and add more sauce and cook until bacon is done. This is a favorite with my family.
