I make a different version of this recipe. I use raw bacon, soak the water chestnuts in soy sauce for a couple hours, and wrap them with the bacon. I then dredge them in regular sugar and bake them as directed. Everyone loves them.

This is a really yummy recipe! I made it for superbowl sunday and it was a big hit. They needed to cook a few minutes longer then the time listed. Definitley going to make it again.

This is good...can be too spicy for more timid eaters, but even with the spice it still has a lot of yummy flavor. Very easy to make!

Used bbq sauce instead, they came out good but they took much longer than 30 minutes to cook. I just started with the chestnuts and bacon and added the bbq sauce for the last 10 min.

I made this twice during the Christmas and New Year season--it was loved by all. I did cut the Miracle Whip in half. I will definately make this again. !

The sauce could probably be cut down to 1/4 of what the recipe says. I used Chinese chili sauce with garlic and it was a bit too spicy for some. I also used turkey bacon instead of regular. Overall though, very yummy!

This was such a hit. I used regular Oscar Meyer bacon. Don't cook it completely so it is flexible enough to wrap around chestnuts. Trim or halve chestnuts if they are too big. I used BBQ sauce instead of the Miracle Whip mixture. Baked 20 minutes. Wonderful!
