Plum Tomato & Pesto Bread

I rated this 5 stars because it is very, very good, and SO, SO SIMPLE. I made this the first time as directed for one of my nibblies on New Year's Eve, 2005. Then I made 1/2 of the recipe tonight and put the toppings on the cut edges of 4 sub rolls (cut the tops off and discarded them). This made nice poor man's bread pizza servings for a light supper.

i made this one night for friends while we watched football. i was just shooting for an appetizer that would hold us over during the game. boy did i overshoot it by a mile! it really was great, thanks!

It's even good warmed up the next day. Looks just as good as the picture as well.

This is a meal in itself. I tried it just for a snack with friends and it was the biggest hit. It's easy to make tastes great.

I used white bread instead, and cut it in half, toasted the bread topped with the ingredients and it was delicious. My husband loved so much I made again the very next day.

This was one of many items I made to serve over the Christmas holidays. It was a big hit with me and my guests! (I used the pesto with sundried tomatoes.)

This is great bread! My family loved it. I served it with a chef's salad - a quick and easy dinner!
