I used chopped sweet pickles, omitted the celery seed and covered the top with sliced hard cooked eggs instead of chopping and mixing in...it tasted just like my mother always make...can't get better than that!

I loved this recipe. I use only the whites of hard cooked eggs and fat free mayo. Fresh lemon juice helps the bland mayo. Dash instead of salt.

Occasionally, when I make this potato salad, I add a touch of hot sauce and it puts in just a touch of punch and very good.

Very much like my Grandmother used to make. Try it with Dijon musturd, it was all I had and I will only use it for now on!!!

I have made this recipe in the past, but used Kraft Miracle Whip (regular or light) instead because it is tangier. I have also used a 2/3 salad dressing and 1/3 sour cream for the base. Always have compliments.

Try adding 1/2 to 1 cup chopped bacon and 2 or 3 extra eggs for even more flavor.

This is the BEST potato salad ever, I too added more eggs and a little more mustard but that is to everyone's own taste....

I use 1/4 of quanity of potatoes as sweet potatoes. This is very good and surprises your guests.

I didn't follow this recipe exactly as my own recipe contains the same ingredients with the exception that I use Dill Weed instead of dill pickle relish. I like the taste of the Dill Weed better. And I always use Kraft Miracle Whip instead of Mayonnaise.
