What could be better than mud pie? Three layers of it. Dense chocolate and pecans topped with creamy pudding and COOL WHIP satisfy the tallest dessert order.

What You Need

oz. BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted

1/4

cup canned sweetened condensed milk

OREO Pie Crust (6 oz.)

1/2

cup chopped PLANTERS Pecans, toasted

pkg. (3.9 oz. each) JELL-O Chocolate Instant Pudding

cups cold 2% milk

tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided

Enjoy serving MAXWELL HOUSE coffee with this delicious recipe.

Make It

MIX chocolate and condensed milk; pour into crust. Sprinkle with nuts.

BEAT pudding mixes and 2% milk with whisk 2 min.; spoon 1-1/2 cups over nuts. Stir half the COOL WHIP into remaining pudding; spread over pudding layer in crust.

TOP with remaining COOL WHIP. Refrigerate 3 hours.

How to Toast Nuts

Heat oven to 350°F. Spread nuts in single layer in shallow pan. Bake 5 to 7 min. or until lightly toasted, stirring occasionally.

Variation

Prepare using BAKER'S Bittersweet Chocolate, increasing the sweetened condensed milk to 1/2 cup and substituting PLANTERS COCKTAIL Peanuts for the toasted pecans.

This is a very good recipe for chocolate lovers. I highly recommend it because it is a very simple and fast dessert to make!!!!!!!!!!!

I made this for the 1st time at thanksgiving . Familly and guests were raving about this pie. It was so simple to make. Will be my take to parties dessert.

I sprinkled coconut instead of nuts on the chocolate. It was wonderful. Kind of like a Mounds bar, only better.

I would recommend using less sweetened condensed milk than the recipie calls for, so that the lowest layer is a bit thinner. The pie was great, but so sweet and rich it made me somewhat sick.
