I also made a trifle, since I was carrying it to a party, for ease of transport and serving. I had LOTS of compliments, and lots of requests for the recipe! Thanks!

This was a fantastic dessert. THe only thing I done different was instead of layering the cake, I crumbled it up and made a trifle instead. Very easy and makes a beautiful dish. Sunday Caradine Birmingham, ALabama

I also made this for Thanksgiving this year and it was a real hit! I rarely eat anything sweet; but this was just right. I used fat-free sugar free white chocolate pudding with pineapples and fat-free cool whip. Totally fat-free!

I tried a can of soft pears with juice instead of pineapple. I made it for Thanksgiving dessert. This cake was sliced and everyone ate it instead of pumpkin pie. The pears were sweet but not to sweet. I tried it once with the pineapple and thought the taste was to tart and to sweet. Try it with the pears and you will never go back.

I plan on making this for Christmas with Pistachio pudding. I think any flavor that mixes w/pineapple would taste great.

I prepared this for our church fellowship and they loved it...But instead of using the angel cake, I baked a pineapple cake that somehow complements the icing....

I made this recipe, but made some changes. Used yellow cake mix, baked in 9X13 pan and garnished with marichino cherries and crushed walnuts. The calories were higher but it was very light and tasty!!
