Spanish Rice & Sausage Skillet

i added 1/2tsp. of minced garlic, 1/4 tsp.of salt, 1/2 tsp.of crushed red pepper, 1 1/2 cups of total of chopped red, yellow,green and orange peppers. i also made this with two links of unfrezen mild italian sausage and 1 chopped boneless and skinless chicken breast. cook meat together until pork is no longer pink. this is the finest recipe i've found thus far.

i've made this resume for unexpected guests at least 4 times. it's great! Bland is NEVER a problem because each person (esp those who are not heart-conscience) can add whatever seasoning they want to the finished product. I get RAVE reviews on serving this. I add cilantro, green onions, a little fresh garlic and HOT smoked chicken sausage vs turkey sausage (boil the meat FIRST before adding it to the recipe for less "bad stuff")

Made this dish the first time with boneless, skinless chicken breasts. My daughter asked me to make it again the very next week. The second time I used the canned white meat. Either chicken was good. This is a wonderful dish.

I loved this! However, I used one can of petite diced tomatoes, instead of the stewed. I used one can of chicken broth, which omitted the water and bouillon cube. And I did not add the hot sauce. Oh, and I used a whole sausage link thing, instead of just 1/2cup. And I added 1tsp each of seasoned salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. It was wonderful!!! Will definitely make again.

I made this in a crock pot and added the tomatos immediately. I also used crumbled sausage, not a link. My husband LOVED this recipe, and we will definitely make it again!

Very tasty but bland. Second try I used chopped tomatoes with green chilis instead of stewed tomatoes. It was much better.

Very tasty! My guys are picky when it comes to 'eating healthy'...but they both enjoyed this meal. If you are not a big fan of tomatoes, just use half of the tomatoes called for.

I USED MEXICAN STYLE STEWED TOMATOES.

It also tasted very good by adding chopped onions and ground Buffalo/Beef and draining the fat. Also used Tomato Sauce.

I CAN'T WAIT TO MAKE THIS RECIPE. IT REMINDS ME OF 'ARROZ CON CHORIZO' PUERTORRICAN RECIPE.
