PHILADELPHIA New York Cheesecake Bars

PHILADELPHIA New York Cheesecake Bars recipe
New York may be the Big Apple, but when it comes to the city's iconic cheesecake, cherries rule the day. True to its heritage, the filling is super-dense and rich.

I made this for our holiday get together and it was a big hit. Everyone loved it. I made it in a 10 inch springform pan. I just added a little more graham crackers and butter mixture. The only thing I did different is I added another teaspoon of vanilla. Definitely will make again.

Not good at all. Has no flavor, soggy crust. Needs more sugar. I would not recommend.

First and Only NewYork cheesecake recipe I use. Been making it for ten years now and it NEVER disappoints. The richness..creaminess...denseness...I'm making one right now! 2/28 @1238 Guam time.

This was sooooo good! I've never made a cheesecake before and the recipe was simple and easy to follow. I did take the advice of others and used the water bath while baking it. Everyone at my party LOVED it!!! They've already requested that I make this again! I served mine plain while a choice of toppings on the side. Yummy!!!

I love this recipe! My family loved it! I like a thicker crust so I used more than 6 graham crackers. Also the photo in this recipe is nothing like the outcome of the cheese cake. In the photo the cheese cake is thin, but when I made it it was super thick. I suggest using 4 cream cheese instead of 5 if you don't want too much cheese in your cake. Otherwise it's not too sweet and not too plain! Also I topped it off with fresh sliced strawberries mixed with a little bit of strawberry glaze. Yum!

I've had to make this several times, recently tried substituting the Oreo cookies for the crust. everyone agreed, it was a bit too rich. Will continue to make it with "Extra" graham crackers for a thicker crust.
