PHILADELPHIA New York Cheesecake Bars

PHILADELPHIA New York Cheesecake Bars recipe
New York may be the Big Apple, but when it comes to the city's iconic cheesecake, cherries rule the day. True to its heritage, the filling is super-dense and rich.

I followed the recipe on the creamcheese box for blueberry swirl. thier was a miss print. It did not say how much flour to use, so I just added 2 tbls, and I did not use the blueberries. It came out wonderful. It made 2- 9 inch round cakes

This is one of the best cheese cakes I've ever had! I even made it with lite sugar and 1/3 less fat cream cheese because my husband is a diabetic. I took no -sugar -added cherry pie filling and sweetened it a little more with splenda and poured it on top. I made it for christmas like that and took it to a family dinner. Everyone was crazy about it. They couldn't believe it was low sugar and low fat.

I have made this many times. It is a large dense cake-just the way I like it. Very easy to make. You can vary it by using spice cookies or oreos to make the crust.

This is very easy to put together and has a smooth and light texture. A tip.....let it cool completely in the oven before refrigerating so it doesn't crack.
