This is an excellent appetizer! My family makes it for all our get togethers. We like to add sausage, there are never any leftovers!

I add sausage (1/2 hot, 1/2 mild). I make it in a crockpot since we like it warm. A favorite for years in our family.

This Spicy Velvetta cheese is also good with one can of refried beans and a 15 ounce jar of Salsa - just mix and melt in microwave. Reheats nicely also.

MY FAMILY LOVES THIS DIP AND ESPECIALLY WHEN I ADD SAUSAGE TO IT. ANY FUNCTIONS THAT WE ATTEND WE ARE ALWAYS ASKED TO BRING THE CHEESE DIP WITH THE SAUSAGE ADDED.

This recipe is also wonderful substituting plain Velveeta; sometimes I use 2 cans of Ro-Tel. For meat lovers, adding browned ground beef or ground turkey adds a whole different twist. Friends and co-workers have commented that they can't stop eating it!

My family has made this for every Aggie football game since i have been alive (23years) except we add either mild or spicy cooked ground sausage and I personally like to add a little bit of chili power and cumin. We also use the frito scoop chips and tortilla chips for serving.
