I read all the comments first before making this. So when I made it the first time I lined the pan with foil inside. and sprayed it. Then cooked the brownie just under done. Took it out while I made cheese cake filling. Pored filling in placed the whole thing in a waterbath the height of the brownie and cooked as directed. This made the cake perfect not over done and not fallen. The second time I replaced the sugar for malitole and reduced the carbs and it was as good as the first time cooking in waterbath again.

This recipe was so easy and delicious! I baked the brownie 20 minutes and it came out perfect. When pouring the cheesecake over the brownie start around the edges and then into the middle because the brownie is softer in the middle. The first time I made it I poured the cheesecake directly into the center and it collapsed the brownie. The cheesecake is restaurant quality!! This recipe is one I will make over and over again.

Huge hit at Thanksgiving, about to make it again for Christmas Dinner! Cook the browine a little longer than the directions say, but not too much!

I like this - very rich. Howver by baking the brownie first, I found it to be too dry! I made it again without baking the brownie first and it was a lot better! I also used the same idea with other flavors of cake and it works great!

I had the same problem with the brownie portion not being fully cooked after 25 minutes. The center portion of the cake had a thinner brownie layer and was thicker on the sides. I lengthened cooking time by 15 minutes after pouring cheesecake portion on top to make certain the brownie portion got cooked all the way through. A very rich cheesecake. I would make this recipe again and cook the brownie layer longer till cooked through.

My mom made this cheesecake for my birthday. If you love cheesecake and chocolate, you'll love this one. She put Comstock Cherry Pie Filling on top, too. It is good plain or with the cherries.

I'm wondering if anyone had this same problem. I baked the brownie portion of the cake for 25 minutes as directed. When I poured the cheesecake batter on the brownie, the brownie collapsed - it had apparently not cooked through the whole way. I also think I should have let the brownie cook before I put the topping on. I will try this again and increase the brownie cooking time by about 10 minutes.

I was told by more than one person that this was the best cheesecake they have ever had. It was divine!

I made this recipe for my family and they loved it, except the brownie part came out a little hard. I will definetly try it again for the holidays.

This cheesecake was absolutely delicious! I took the advice from several people that rated this recipe and only baked the brownie portion for 15 minutes. I found that it was a little undercooked. Next time I will follow the recipe. I made this for a family get together and it was a big hit.
