My husband is a chocoholic, so the "chocolatiness" was okay for him. My 9" springform pan was not tall enough for the cake, so my advice is to use a deep one. Since the pan was not deep enough and the cake came above the pan with nothing to support the sides, the cheesecake cracked terribly. But, it was still delicious and I do plan to make it again, this time in a pan lined with parchment to extend several inches above my springform.

This turned out FANTASTIC! I made this for Valentine's Day 2004 and everyone that had some LOVED it. My boyfriend told me to make it again. I covered it in buttercream frosting and it was delicious. The brownie part was very chocolatie - I almost wasn't able to handle it, but it was great none-the-less. I highly reccomend this recipe for the cheesecake & chocolate lover!

This cheesecake is great to make a day ahead. It tastes better the next day! Very rich and filling, so it's great for larger gatherings.

I like to add 8 oz. of white chocolate chips to the brownie bottom & 9 oz. of milk chocolate chips to the cheesecake batter & top it off with a sweet dark chocolate ganache to make what my ex-wife donned heart attack on a platter. I call it triple chocolate cheesecake.

It was okay, but the combination of brownie and cheesecake had a strange taste to it.

This was the best cheesecake!! I have made it several times for work. Everyone loves it and always requests it for work luncheons.

I made this for my boyfriend's birthday party and his family couldn't believe I baked it myself! I even reheated some of the leftover 'brownie bottom' mix in the microwave & then with the edge of a spoon I *very lightly* put swirls on the top. It turned out terrific!
