The first time I made this recipe, I felt something was missing something, that it was too bland. I found some bacon, cooked 4 strips, then crumbled them and added them to the pot. It turned out great! My brother and I finished the entire pot! I also add more beer than the recipe calls for now, as it gives it even more flavor.

Terrible ! I SO wanted this soup to be good,cheese and beer are both well liked by my husband and I ,but this recipe was truly a dissapointment :( It tasted like yeast.

Really good. Not the first beer cheese soup recipe I have tried, by far the best! Thick and yummy.

I made this soup for my husband and myself with broccoli (instead of carrots) and Michelob Ultra. It was quick and easy, and very good!!

I have made this a few times now and my boyfriend absolutely loves it! The second time I made it I used more than a 1/2 cup of beer (more like 1/2 - 3/4 of a bottle of Killians) it was even better with the amount of beer increased. I have also added cooked pasta to it just before serving, very tasty! I want to try making this again soon with Guinness rather than Killians.

I love, love, love beer and I thoroughly enjoyed this soup. It was actually very nice drinking a beer with the beer soup. Great idea.
