I hope this is the recipe from inside the Velveeta box lid! I made this a while ago - forgot to keep it - and now am searching for it! I did add more broccoli and some additional milk. I have loved Velveeta for decades and this was a perfect comfort soup!
I made the soup in a slowcooker using 2% milk Velveeta. I omitted flour and added garlic salt and imitation bacon bits. Nice and cheesy result, and leftovers taste nearly as good heated up in the microwave. While I don't find the Velveeta taste overpowering at all, if you don't like Velveeta, you likely won't like this recipe.
I doubled the recipe, added chicken broth for some of the milk, and two baked, cubed potatoes to the soup mix. DELISH! Everyone liked it and the soup was gone!
Yummy! I have made this recipe several times now for different social events and have walked away with an empty serving dish and everyone wanting the recipe!
Loved it! Very quick, easy and budget friendly--not to mention satisfying on a chilly night. Only additions I made were a little salt and a dash of nutmeg. I seved it with baked potatoes. Yum!
Too cheesy and thick. I added 2 cans of cream of potato soup and a little more milk. It was just right. Easy to make in a crock pot.
I have a couple of other recipes that I like better, but this is good and simple
This recipe was very good, however, I cut the amount of cheese in half the second time I made it, and added a little more milk. The first time it was too cheesy when I made it according to the recipe. It was so thick and cheesy that I felt it was better suited for a dip than soup. I also added a little red pepper for flavor and color.
It was ok. It was sweet for me. I added chicken stock, garlic and red peppers, that fixed the taste a little.
was easy to make but it did seem like it was missing something. it wasn't as cheesey as people have previously stated, but would be good on a baked potato like someone else stated. tip: don't leave on stove while you are eating...I did with mine and it curdled the soup and had to throw it away
