Great idea. All of the clear plastic cups in the stores here were larger and made the 1/2 cup servings look like very shallow aquariums. Also, the swedish fish turned to a milky white appearance and their texture changed (some kids didn't like it). If I did it again, I'd double the amount of jello prepared and try to find another candy to use instead of swedish fish.

The Jello didn't come out very clear so it was hard to see the fish.

These were so very simple to make and the kids LOVED them! To make it easier on myself I made them in layers-one layer of strawberries and jello, freeze; next layer of jello, freeze for a few minutes then add fish. This process made it a lot easier for me.

It helps the strawberries stay in the bottom if you spoon the jello in instead of pouring it in. My 3 1/2 yr old loved it.

I made these cups with my 3 year old daughter and let me tell you it wasn't as "nice and easy" as it looked. The strawberries floated and the fish just fell on their sides and didn't look like they were suppose to. BUT we did have fun making them and according to the real critic they were "yummy!" and that is what really matters!

These fish bowls are easy to make but the fish's outer coating gets mushy leaving an unpleasant fish to eat. Other wise the kids loved them for my 1yr olds birthday party!
