This was so,so yummy.I made this last year, but was a totally different recipe and all I could taste was the velveeta,I knew I had to find a different recipe.I will make this every year now.Also,I only had 4 squares of unsweetened chocolate so I used the rest with semi-sweet chocolate,did great.
This is a great recipe to make with the kids! We like to melt peanut butter and butter and drizzle on top. I have also used broken candy cane pieces for a mint version.
It's good really good. I've usually used another velveeta fudge recipe...using coco powder...but this worked well. the taste is good. However, the consistancy is not as stiff as I thought it would be...but I'm going to put in the freezer for just a bit to harden it up more if it's not better by tonight. I really did like how it was made in the microwave and then the fridge...very fast...made in about 10min.
I have made this fudge for 20+ years. I got the recipe from my Grandma. It is awesome. It stays flexible and moist. I have only have had one person ever guess the "secret" ingrediant. But everyone who has ever tasted it, loved it!
The people who complain about this being gross obviously never tasted it. This fudge is great nice and creamy. One would never know it had cheese in it if someone doesn’t tell them.
My grandmother-in-law makes this, it is not good at all. Only one person in family likes it, but noone has the heart to tell her... Don't let this be you! fudge should not be made out of cheese product...
Very simple and easy to make, never fails, everybody raves about it. You are a hit when you bring this one to the party.
This was sooooo good! Even days later. Very creamy. I want to try it with peanut butter next time. I will be making this again!
Oh my gosh, yuk yuk yuk...worst thing ever. Who puts cheese in chocolate? It tastes like there is raw egg in it. Would NOT recommend.
I'm thinking there may be a mistake in the directions for this recipe. It says to add the melted chocolate to the sugar; I did this and it was very crumbly. I ended up pressing into the pan but I expected it to be smoother. A friend had another version of this recipe and it said to gradually add the sugar to the melted chocolate which makes more sense to me. I'll try it that way and see if it comes out better. It still tasted okay but wasn't a nice creamy looking fudge to give as gifts.
