What You Need

lb. (12 oz.) VELVEETA® or VELVEETA Made With 2% Milk Reduced Fat Pasteurized Prepared Cheese Product, cut into 1/2-inch cubes

cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine

pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S Unsweetened Chocolate (6 oz.), broken into pieces

Tbsp. light corn syrup

pkg. (16 oz. each) powdered sugar (about 8 cups)

cups chopped PLANTERS Pecans

tsp. vanilla

Make It

PLACE VELVEETA, butter, chocolate and corn syrup in large microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 2 min.; stir. Microwave an additional minute; stir until well blended.

ADD chocolate mixture, in batches, to sugar in large bowl, beating with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended after each addition. Stir in pecans and vanilla.

POUR into greased 13x9-inch pan. Smooth top with spatula; cover. Refrigerate several hours or until firm before cutting into 1-inch squares to serve. (For longer storage, wrap tightly and freeze up to 2 months. Thaw in refrigerator overnight before serving.)

Substitute

Substitute 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies for the chopped pecans.

Been making this for years. Some won't try it if I tell them it's Velveeta, so I just wait until they have eaten some and like it, then I tell them. Was a hit at this years Christmas Party.

A friend made this fudge and it was not dry like some fudge can be. It was so creamy and good. Then I found out it was made with Velveeta and thought they were kidding. I am not a fan of Velveeta but do purchase it for a potato casserole I make. Now I purchase it for fudge too! You can't taste the cheese whatsoever if you are following the directions. It is not gross by any stretch of the imagination as when I make it the plate never lasts an hour and none of my guests know Velveeta is in it unless they ask for the recipe. I highly recommend.

GROSS. I was optimistic with all the great reviews, but it smells like velveeta and has the velveeta aftertaste. If you're going to eat it, try not to smell it. I would never recommend this to anyone.

My mother in law made this for Christmas last year. It is absolutely the most amazing thing I have ever tasted! I fell in love with it. After I'd showered her with many compliments, she told me that it was made with Velveeta. I would have never thought. No, you cannot taste the velveeta if you never knew it was there. After knowing it was there, I was trying to pinpoint the cheese flavor, but you just can't. It's so creamy and wonderful!!!

This was my first try at making fudge and it came out AWESOME! At first I was skeptical when mixing the ingredients. When mixing the chocolate mixture into the sugar just keep mixing until it starts to form a ball. Make sure you have a strong mixer as well because as it started forming the ball my mixer wanted to surrender. YUMMY!

If you make this recipe exactly as it says to make it,and use real velveeta,it will come out right. I tried to make it using another brand of processed cheese product and it will not come out at all,waste of time and money..so maybe the people who didnt like it made it without velveeta..everyone i make it for loves it..

This was so,so yummy.I made this last year, but was a totally different recipe and all I could taste was the velveeta,I knew I had to find a different recipe.I will make this every year now.Also,I only had 4 squares of unsweetened chocolate so I used the rest with semi-sweet chocolate,did great.

This is a great recipe to make with the kids! We like to melt peanut butter and butter and drizzle on top. I have also used broken candy cane pieces for a mint version.
