Key Lime Pie

Key Lime Pie recipe
I have made this so many times and has always been a hit! It's really really good and so light. Does not feel heavy and is really good on a hot summers day.

I made the pie this morning and it didn't quite work out as simple as the recipe says. After putting it in the fridferator for 20 minutes it was a little firm on top but the rest was liquid. When I put it in the crust pan there was too much of it. I think it has too much liquid in it. The next one I make I will use less water. The first one is still firming up I hope it gets firm by this afternoon because I'm suppose to take it to a party. I made it with sugar free gelatin and sugar free ice cream. Do you think this might have been my problem.

This pie was light and the ice cream made it great! I used sugar-free lime Jell-O and it was still good! Baked it for a special family dinner and everyone loved it!

The best key lime ever. And I made it low-cal. I used sugar-free jello and low-fat ice cream. And a reduced fat crust. It was not too sweet. I added fat free cool whip to the top.

This was pretty good but I had made it after making the key lime margarita recipe so was disappointed. The margarita frozen pie is far better and I would make that over this one every time. This could be a nice change that would be better for kids, but this was not our favorite.

I made this recipe because key lime pie is my fiances favorite dessert. He is picky but he loved it! I am definitely making it again. It is also very easy, and inexpensive to make. We loved it!

I have made this 3 times. I did it just as directed the first time. Second time I used cherry jello for cherry lime pie. Today I am making peach pie. I am using water instead of lime juice to see if I like it. It is wonderful and very easy to make.

I had this for a cool summer dessert, my husband loved it and we will be having this often, will use this for our pie exchange and will include the directions for making the pie, this is one I think everyone should try. Great recipe!

I made 2 pies it was so good. My whole family thought it was great, even though it had to refrigerate over night, we could take it. It was also worth it!

Quick note from a former Floridian... NO KEY LIME recipe is made with regular limes. Key Limes are yellow on the outside, smaller (bout the size of a quarter), thinner skinned and milder in flavor. And last but not least: NO KEY LIME PIE IS GREEN they are YELLOW ask anyone from the Florida KEYS... Jeesh, this is a major pet peeve of mine. Sry.
