This is a good recipe. I did do a few things different. I added a few cloves of fresh minced garlic and shredded carrots, I also added more onion and celery than what the recipe called for. i cooked the veggies in bacon grease instead of butter to give it a bacon flavor. I added a tablespoon of flour to thicken it up and added 4 slices of american cheese to make it creamier along with another cup of milk. I also did not cook the bacon in the soup just used it as a topping. I think it looses its consistency too much when cooked in liquid and is much better with some crunch, besides cooking it in the bacon grease gave it alot of bacon flavor. Overall my family loved it! This is my favorite kraft recipe so far. Even though I would never tell my grandmother this, this potato soup blows hers out of the water!

It was pretty good!It was runny as some stated. I added a little flour and some garlic salt, along with some of the bacon drippings as well and it was great. I wish I could get it to be a little thicker though.
This was AMAZING!!! I pretty much doubled everything except the milk and broth, as was suggested in previous reviews, and I added a little of the bacon grease for flavor. DEFINITELY will make again!!! =)
I made this soup for a work pot luck on St.Pattys day and it was a huge hit. I added a bit extra on cheese and bacon I also added two extra potatoes chopped really fine to help thicken the broth. My family loved it and my co-workers went crazy had to give them the recipe.
This is my families favorite soup recipe. We add a little bit more of everything, except the milk, and chicken broth. We also add a little bit of bacon grease to give it a more bacon flavor. We make this on a monthly basis even during the summer. Love this recipe.

I had to make some changes since I didn't have celery or sour cream but it still turned out. I used Velveeta cheese and greek yogurt and it is really good. My husband is the one I am worried about but I believe that he will like it. I served whole wheat honey buscuits with it.
