The recipe wasn't bad but the soup was watery. If I made it again I would use a thickening agent.

My family loved this soup! Although the recipe needs to be doubled it doesn't make very much. But this is the best potato soup I have ever made! I made the recipe without the celery and sour cream to please everyone but it still turned out wonderful.

Really was simple to make! Had never made a potato soup before, but LOVED eating them in restaurants. Since restaurant style was all I had before-I was skeptical. I read all the other comments and followed some advice. Used Half&Half instead of milk, forgot the celery and added a little flour to thicken. It was Fantastic and very comparable to restuarant sytle! TWO Thumbs UP!!

Very good and easy. I microd the potatoes. Could be doubled very easily.

What a delicious soup. Had to change it a little. For one I microwaved my potatoes and put in 3 instead of 2. I also put cheese and sour cream directly into my soup the last 2 mins. or so. Mine came out nice and thick and extremely flavorful. This will stay in our winter rotation.

Loved this. I don't think I baked my potatoes long enough because they were too hard to mash with a spoon. I ended up leaving them in small chunks. Still delicious though. I used some whipping cream instead of milk to make it extra thick (and I'm sure much more fattening!) :)
