What You Need

2-1/4

cups flour

1-1/2

tsp. CALUMET Baking Powder

1/2

tsp. baking soda

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

1/4

cup butter, softened

cup sugar

cup mashed fully ripe bananas (about 3)

eggs

cup chopped PLANTERS Walnuts

Make It

HEAT oven to 350°F.

MIX flour, baking powder and baking soda. Beat cream cheese, butter and sugar in large bowl with mixer until blended. Add bananas and eggs; mix well. Gradually add flour mixture, mixing well after each addition. Stir in nuts.

POUR into greased and floured 9x5-inch loaf pan.

BAKE 1 hour 10 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 5 min.; remove from pan to wire rack. Cool completely.

Prepare as directed, substituting 4 oz. chopped BAKERS Semi-Sweet Chocolate for the nuts.

Prepare using PHILADELPHIA Neufchatel Cheese.

How to Soften Cream Cheese

Place completely unwrapped package of cream cheese in microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 10 sec. or just until softened. Add 15 sec. for each additional package of cream cheese.

I found the recipe easy, especially since I haven't bake bread for a while and it tasted good. One piece was not enough.

Great recipe. Very easy! I added pecans instead of walnuts and threw in some left over chocolate chips for good measure.

this banana bread is enjoyed by my whole family. stays very moist and you can easily add things to it. will use this recipe every time.

Definately need no less than 3 banana's. Very light bread. I added pecans with one batch and almonds with almond extract in the second batch. Both were wonderful.

I added a little extra banana and i also put some chopped pecans in it and it turned out great! The kids loved it!

This is a great recipe for banana bread i used a bundt pan, and added a little more banana in it. the cream cheese helps it keep its moisture.the bread was done in a hour. It is very good warm yummmmmmm everyone loved this bread. will definately make it again.
