OH MY WORD! This is absolutely heavenly. I remembered this from my childhood and tracked down the recipe. Make it; make LOTS of it! It's great for picnics/parties. A great way to get kids (and fussy grownups like me) to eat their fruit.

I grew up eating this every Thanksgiving. Mom or Grandma would make it. Now I make it for family and friends.

I made this recipe for our family Memorial Day cookout. Instead of sour cream I substituted cool whip. Everybody loved it so much with the cool whip that it was gone in no time.

The first time I tried this salad it also had pecans in it,and it made it taste even better if you like pecans. So I also put pecans in my,becase I do like pecans. Try it you might just like it!!!!!

My aunt has been making this for years, now I do, but add Marachino cherries, makes it taste better, and if you add some of the M cherry liquid it turns it a pretty pink.
