My family has made this since I was a child (I'm 71). However we used less salad dressing and more fruit. We also add an unpeeled red delicious apple, diced small, seedless grapes, halved and a small amount of chopped walnuts. It has always been a family favorite. In fact after moving to the Netherlands and marrying a young Dutch woman my next to the oldest called long distance just to find out how I made it. This is a big family treat at Thanksgiving and Christmas. It isn't holidays without it! You can also add kiwi.

Next time I'll use less miracle whip. This time I just used more of everything else and it turned out fine.

I love this recipe and is simple to do. I add whatever fruits I have in season. Mango and Papaya taste delicious in this medley!

I make something very similar called 6 cup salad. It's a cup each of marshmallows, pineapple, coconut, sour cream, mixed fruit, cottage cheese......and it is AMAZING!!!! So I am sure any fruit combo would be a tasty treat perfect for summer!

This recipe reminds me of my family's holiday favorites. Instead of Mayo we use 1 cup of sour cream. Instead of bananas we use jar cherries, red and green for the holidays. Make sure the fruit is very well drained before mixing. We call this "Heavenly Hash".

I used whip cream and sour cream i added sliced almonds and it tasted fantastic. I made it to last a few days for myself to snack on and the bananas didn't keep. I plan on using it with an apple instead this week. looking forward to changing it up with different fruit! yummy

All I could taste was the miracle whip when I ate it. I kept checking to make sure I had the recipe right. First recipe here I haven't truly cared for.
