My family absolutely loved them, they were quick and easy to make, and I think they were very good. They may be considered a bit on the bland side, but we had a thick, creamy homemade soup for lunch and I made these with them, and we dipped the biscuits in the soup. It made them taste even better!

Excellent. My son was even subtle enough to mention how good these would be with sausage patties or sausage gravy. Couldn't be easier!

My mother made this biscuits every Sunday night with cocoa. They bring good memories and are very much a comfort food to me. I like making them with butter flavored shortning and put butter on the top of the biscuits when they are hot out of the oven. I like them so much I always triple the recipe and make them thick! But then I'm a man and like them that way!

I used vegetable shortening instead of butter. They were actually the best looking homemade biscuits I've ever made. Usually they look so dang lumpy and dry that I don't really like them, but these were great and looked great. If you like really tall biscuits you might want to make a double batch.
