it came out much better than i thought it would i added some monterey jack cheese to the chedder chees so there was about 1/3 more cheese also added some garlic powder

I substituted ranch dressing for the Miracle Whip, omitting the garlic powder. Lots more flavor!!

The Garlic dominates. You never know there was bacon and cheddar cheese in it. Maybe it should have been Garlic salt.

This is so good. I make it all the time. Next time try using bacon bits. I use instant potatoes when I don't have time to cook the real thing. I prepare the potatoes first then add the rest of the ingredients, then microwave to melt the cheese and heat the bacon, it tastes the same.

Much better with sour cream than mayo. Also, consider adding a couple of tablespoons of white wine and using cream, too. Green onions a great addition, too. Garlic is a must!

Now the only reason that I rated the way I do is that one may instead take and use Kraft real mayo instead of miricle whip. just because i don't like my potatoes sweet. try this
