Diner Special Meatloaf

Very simple, easy, and tasty recipe. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quick dinner. I made this with the asapargus and honey mustard recipe. Great combo.

What You Need

lb. lean ground beef

1/2

cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce

1/2

cup dry bread crumbs

egg, lightly beaten

1-1/4

cups water

3/4

cup milk

Tbsp. butter or margarine

1/2

tsp. salt

1-1/2

cups instant potato flakes

oz. PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, cubed

KRAFT Singles

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 375°F. Mix meat, barbecue sauce, bread crumbs and egg. Shape into loaf in 12x8-inch baking dish.

BAKE 55 minutes. Meanwhile, bring water to boil in medium saucepan. Add milk, butter and salt; stir in potato flakes. Add cream cheese; stir until completely melted.

SPREAD potato mixture over meatloaf; top with Singles. Bake an additional 5 minutes or until Singles begin to melt.

Serving Suggestion

Serve with a steamed green vegetable, such as green beans, and a whole wheat roll.

Substitute

Substitute 1 pkg. (16 oz.) frozen LOUIS RICH Ground Turkey for the ground beef.

Special Extra

Garnish with chopped fresh chives just before serving.

Wow was this good. Just add a veggie on the side and some biscuits and you are good to go. My kids loved it!

The meatloaf part was a little loose! My husband ate 3 servings....my 1yo had 2...my 5yo...well...hes not picy just stuborn!

I made the recipe as written and husband loved it. But I think next time I may add some mushrooms or onions to the meat to take it up a notch.

the mashed potatoes were really good, especially with the cheese on top. i really didn't like the taste of the meatloaf itself, though. i think it's the bbq sauce that i wasn't really a fan of. :(

This is a great meatloaf. I don't really like meatloaf that great, but this will be fixed quite often. It just looks fun and that makes the kids like it!

was really good, but i used regular hamburger meat and it turned out greasy...next time i'll defineatly use the lean beef....the mashed potatoes on top were soooo yummy :)
