This has been a family favorite for years. My dad started making it when we were kids and it has been passed down through 3 generations so far.

Yes, the recipe has changed but for the better. I made fudge using the new recipe and it is the creamiest, most delicious fudge I have ever made. Like the others that have commented, I was used to adding chocolate chips but believe me, the Baker's chocolate makes a better fudge. I'm also glad to see the recipe that relied on boiling times has been dropped. The only way to make good fudge is by using a candy thermometer. Please do not change this recipe, it is your best yet.

This is the same recipe. Just use the chips instead of the chocolate squares! It's as good as ever!

Aall the friends and family I gave fudge to had rave reviews. I put peanut butter in one batch, and made one batch without vanilla flavor in it. Seems all liked the chocolate taste better!
