This is a holiday family favorite recipe from my childhood. It's turned out wonderfully for many years. I prefer the microwave recipe as it is easy and still makes wonderful fudge. But yes, you must follow the instructions exactly. It's a timeless classic!

I doubled the ingredients and found that it was not set after 6 hours, I put it in the fridge over night and now I can't cut it as it's not very solid. It looks like very soft toffee.

I made this using a 12oz bag of semi sweet chocolate chips and 13x9 pan and it is delicious! I omitted the nuts, and it was still fantastic!

Isn't it funny how Kraft ignored everyone's comments about going back to the old recipe on the jar? I just double the recipe, use 2 bags of semi-sweet chips, and boil it for 5 minutes. My only problem is that some of the chips don't seem to melt or mix. Any one have a solution for this?

This was very easy to make and tasted wonderful. It received many complements from co-workers as well. I did leave out the walnuts however.

my mother used this recipe, now I do. Except we use the bag of morsels instead of the blocks of chocolate. ** cook time try 6-7 minutes fudge isn't as soft. other than that follow the directions very carefully!! Also try Peanut butter chips !! P-butter fudge w/ nuts my favorite!!yum yum..

This recipe is great!! My mother used this recipe as i was growing up and now i use it!! she found it on the back of the marshmallow creme and it has been a family tradition for 15+ years!! The key is following the instructions exactly. Everyone looks forward to our fudge at the holidays, thanks kraft!!

Dear Cook who put the marshmallow in with the butter...it's dead. Try again. Also, to those who have trouble using a candy thermometer...I never do. As soon as it starts to boil set a timer for 4 minutes, make sure you are on medium heat. Don't forget to stir constantly so it doesn't scorch and remember to remove it from the heat when you begin the chocolate and marshmallow phase.
