My sister has made this fudge twice after I bragged about how good and easy it was, and both times, her fudge just crumbled. After we compared recipes, mine was the old one using chocolate chips intstead of the bakers chocolate. SO, my suggestion is to find the old recipe and use that one.
I am mot sure what to say...I tried twice with this recipe, each time followed it exact. It never hardened at all. I saw a couple other posts that mention this too, anyone know what went wrong? I am dissapointed to say the least!
This is a quick and easy recipe when using the microwave directions. I have used this recipe many times using a variety of flavored chips in addition to chocolate and a variety of nuts as well (pecans, almonds, etc).
For the first time in 25 years, the fudge never hardened. I can't figure out what went wrong.
Easiest fudge I've ever made!
Well I have now made this 3 times wasted 9 lbs of sugar and all the other ingredents and it happen again this time my husband helped me to stir and we had a timer and the gaudge working I don't know but it makes me sick when it use to turn out everytime before why not now?????
I have made fudge for years. It is a family tradition. This year the recipe changed from choc. morsels to Baker's Choc. It was horrible and looked so nasty we just threw it out. The Baker's choc. turned watery and did not work at all. What a waste of money on ingredients. I will look for a new recipe.
I make this several times a year. It is a no fail recipe. It is also good with or without nuts, just depends if i have them handy or not.
My mom has made this every christmas and it's always something to look forward too.
i made this recipe with my mother-in-law, then my kids and now my granddaughter. just be sure to beat it well after taking it off the stove or it will be grainy. Basically a no fail recipe which is always gobbled up very quickly!
