This was a decent and easy dinner. My variation: I put the water, seasoning, and chicken in the slow cooker all day on low, and added onion, one can of black beans, and one can of corn (skipped the peppers). When it was done, I shredded the chicken, put the corn bread mix on top, and finished it off in the oven. During the last 10 minutes, I topped it off with cheddar cheese. The only thing I noticed is that despite the addition of corn and black beans, the ratio of cornbread to the rest of the mixture was still quite high. I might try to add a can of tomatoes next time to see if I get better results.

Yummy. used hamburger meat instead and tons of cheese . Sour Cream on top.
My family LOVES this recipe! I use ground turkey instead of chicken and add a can of corn, big hit in my house!
This is very easy and very good. Family does not like green pepper so I do not use it. I add a small can of corn to the corn bread mix and I have used ground turkey instead of chicken. This is a great quick supper.

This is very good recipe easy, to make and very taste. I used green and orange peppers and taco seasoned cheese. I would make this again.

Maybe it was cause I used jiffy cornbread mix and that made it too sweet, but I ended up just picking around the cheese in-between! :(
This was a very yummy and simple dish to make, in the future im going to try fajita seasoning instead of taco, im also going to use a can of black beans and mexican cornbread instead of regular... But its a good recipe just the way it is as well ...
