Fun Taco Cups

Fun Taco Cups recipe
Traditional taco ingredients get a warm, Southern touch when they’re baked inside biscuits. A great weeknight option that’s happy with a salad on the side.

Fun and good. We used Phyllo dough, and layered beans, meat, tomatoes, and cheese

VERY GOOD! Easy for my 3 year old to eat and he LOVED them which has been quite a challenge lately!

The recipe is much better using flaky biscuits or fillo dough instead. Another addition that made the recipe better was the addition of a layer of refried beans on the bottom followed by a small amt of salsa then the meat. Topping the final product with sour cream made it great. I first fixed it just the way shown and found it to be lacking.

I made this recipe for the first time last night and it was fast, easy, and delicious. My husband wasn't too sure about it at first then ended up eating four of them. Next time I will serve it with sour cream.

Used grocery store brand Mexican cheese, but will use cheddar next time. The cups need a heavier cheese taste. You have to make sure you stretch the canned biscuits wide enough to obtain the cup shape or you have too much meat for each cup.
