What You Need

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

3/4

cup (1-1/2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened

1-1/2

cups granulated sugar

1-1/2

tsp. vanilla

eggs

cups sifted cake flour

1-1/2

tsp. CALUMET Baking Powder

tsp. powdered sugar

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 325°F. Beat cream cheese, butter, granulated sugar and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.

ADD eggs, 1 at a time, mixing well after each addition. Gradually add flour and baking powder, mixing on low speed until blended. Pour into greased and floured 9x5-inch loaf pan.

BAKE 1 hour 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes; remove from pan. Cool completely on wire rack. Sprinkle with powdered sugar just before serving.

i make this doing Christmas and my guests couldn't believe that taste. i have had several request to make it again and i will.

The cake was very good and fluffy. I used all egg whites (so twice the number of eggs) and reduced the sugar and it still came out delicious

Easy, easy, easy. Very moist and absolutely perfect pound cake. Not too sweet. Goes great with strawberries and whipped cream!

Everyone loved this at a Christmas party I held in my home. Of all of the cookies,cakes,fudge, this one was gone in no time! I now have friends asking me to make more for their New Years party! Even the kids loved it, and I did not put anything on top, it was perfect the way it is, I may use Ameretto for the New Years, just to give it a try.

This recipe is a keeper! I just finished making it and it tastes wonderful. Think that it would be even better topped with strawberries.

Not exactly famous for my cooking talents, I made this cake for a family gathering, and now it is a favorite of our family! Excellent Cake! The BEST pound cake EVER!
