I went through almost 2 boxes of vanilla wafers at a party I was at for a small amount of time. People kept going back for some of that "pumpkin pie dip"! I need to find a way to mix it so that the dip is smooth looking and no "chunks" are left. I tried to blend it after I mixed it but still looked chunky. It tasted really good,though!
I took the tip from kbmartin15 and added the marshmallow creme at the very end. Thank you for suggesting that. I also found that I needed to add a little more pumpkin and spices to suit my taste. I'm taking it to work tomorrow and serving it with cinammon graham cracker sticks and apple slices. Thanks for a great, easy to make recipe!
I always use vanilla wafer cookies and ginger snaps when I serve this dip. It also looks great served in a small pumpkin.
When making this recipe, I would blend all ingredients except for the marshmallow creme and then add that in last. Otherwise, the creme breaks down too much.
It is very good and tastes just like the inside of a pumpkin pie. I served it with Nabisco Cinnamon Sticks. It is very good warm and also cold. My friend told me that these crackers taste like the crust of a pumpkin pie.
Great for potlucks during the holidays. Apples got quite well along with vanilla wafers.
