My first time ever making this dish! It turned out fantastic! My son who "doesn't like" green beans ate 3 helpings & wanted more the next day! Very easy. I preped the night before(Thanksgiving)~ Everyone frowned when I said cheese but after they ate it there was NO COMPLAINTS!
It was good but needed more cheese. I gave it 3 stars as is but would give it 4 with another cup of cheese.
First time making this dish! Very Big hit with the entire family.
I have made this dish for pot lucks at work and for family functions. It goes over so well, it never seems like I make enough. Everyone loves it even my picky husband.
How can you not like this holiday dish.
My brother in law is a huge green bean casserole fan so when they came over for dinner i made it for him and my husband and everyone loved it! Great hit, I have made it a number of times since then.
I love this recipe. Green bean casseroles are one of my favorite holiday dishes and this recipe is my fav. Love having the cheese in it. I brought this to thanks giving and christmas dinner and everyone loved it. I am now making it today for easter!
Excellent green bean casserole. It is good with Cheddar flavored french fried onions. This dish is always a hit.
It was awful! It ended as a creamy, gooey mess! I couldn't make my family eat it, it was so bad.
Love this! Everyone raves about it, even those who hate green bean casserole. The first 2 times I made it, I accidentally used regular frozen cut green beans instead of the french style that are thinner and stringier. It came out excellent, but needs about 10 extra minutes or so of cook time because of the density of the beans versus the traditional string type. I've made it both ways, and it's creamier with the French style, but I, and others, prefer the regular green beans. It really makes it different from the classic casserole, and those who hate the classic casserole love this! Excellent flavor, no errors with this one! Foolproof!
