It seems like over the years I have tried different tips for this recipe. I use 3 cans french style green beans and I add 1 can of water chestnuts (chopped) and some crumbled bacon (mix in) I leave out the cheez wiz all together! It is wonderful this way. You should try it! It was a HUGE hit at Thanksgiving!

I made this for Thanksgiing. Next time I'm going to try with fresh green beans. They were a bit waxy - the recipe is good, though!

The casserole was good, but we didn't care for the Cheez Whiz version. We will stick to the traditional recipe from now on.

Always a wonderful addition to any meal! It got great reviews from the family and it was very easy to make ahead of time.
